To restrict access to, and track all usage of
the Océ VarioPrint 1105, the
administrator can set up the device to force
operator authentication before access to the
device is granted and, furthermore, require a
validated department or project code be
entered, enabling cost accounting for all
page output.
This is a valuable tool for both external print
for pay environments and an internal CRD
where every page needs to be accounted
for.
While a CRD is a means of reducing
outsourcing work to external parties, it is still
run as a small business in most companies,
the CRD manager bills departments
separately for all work performed.
The ability to bill each job is standard
business practice in professional services
companies such as legal firms, consultants,
