•
Only use utensils (plates, dishes etc.) that are suitable for use in a microwave oven.
•
Keep an eye on the oven when food is being heated in a plastic or paper container
since there may be a risk of ignition.
•
If smoke or flames are observed in the microwave oven, switch off the appliance or
pull out the plug and keep the door closed to extinguish any flames.
Never use
•
Utensils of metal or containing enamel parts/decorations.
•
Roasting bags with an inner side of tinfoil/metallic threads.
•
Melamine bowls.
•
In order to avoid sparks that may damage the oven, never use aluminium or metal
containers.
•
If you only use the microwave function of the oven, do not use the delivered metal
grid.
•
Always check the temperature of heated food to avoid any burns – in particular when
heating baby food. If gruel is heated in a feeding bottle, shake the bottle and test
the temperature of the gruel on the back of your hand. Never heat feeding bottles
without the lid and the teat. Always stir the baby food and check the temperature
before it is served /eaten.
•
After preparation, always keep the food 30 to 60 seconds in the oven to enable the
heat to spread and to prevent the food from ”bubbling”, when a spoon or another
utensil is put in the food.
•
When heating beverages in the microwave oven, the boiling point may be reached
without producing any visible bubbles. Consequently, the liquid may not boil until
the container is removed from the microwave oven. So be careful when removing
the container.
•
WARNING
: Liquids and other foodstuffs must not be heated in closed containers due
to the risk of explosion.
•
Always follow the instructions and remember that some foodstuffs heat very quickly.
You should also notice that foodstuffs with a high content of sugar should not be
heated in plastic containers.
•
Kitchen utensils can become very warm during preparation. This is especially the
case when such utensils are covered by a lid or a microwave film. We therefore
recommend that you always use oven gloves when taking the container out of the
microwave oven.
Any damage caused by the above or similar faulty use is not covered by the warranty.
