Specify help desk contact
The help desk contact is included on the OUT OF ORDER screen, which the
SafeCom Front-end displays when communication is lost.

Open the
Advanced Configuration
web page (2.7.2).

General

Contact Person
(name, phone number).

Save and Continue

Specify printer’s DNS name
If the SafeCom Controller is connected to the printer via the network you can
reference the printer via Domain Name System (DNS). This way you specify the
printer’s DNS name instead of the printer’s IP address.

Open the
Advanced Configuration
web page (2.7.2).
Note:
Normally you do not need to perform step 2-4, as the list of DNS
servers is provided via DHCP.

Click
TCP/IP

In
DNS Servers
you can enter the IP address of your DNS servers to
resolve hostnames and IP addresses.

Printer

Printer IP Address
enter the printer’s DNS name or IP address

Specify the LAN speed
The obsolete SafeCom Controller 3 Port and 1 Port can operate at 10 or 100
Mbps. The SafeCom Controller will by default sense and decide the speed (100
Mbps, unless the number of ports using 10 Mbps are in majority). The
LAN
Speed
can be set explicitly via the SafeCom Controller web interface.

Change
LAN Speed
from
AUTO
to either
10_MBPS
or
100_MBPS
.
