Logging on to a unit using Telnet
To log on to a unit using Telnet:

From the Menu Bar, choose Connect
→
Logon Unit
→
Telnet.
Result:
The Telnet Configuration dialog box displays, similar to the
following:

Enter the IP Address of the unit you want to connect to.

Click on the
OK
button.
Result:
If no one else logged on to the unit before you, and if IP
connectivity exists to this unit, the User Authentication for Telnet Mode
dialog box displays, similar to the following:

Enter your logon name in the Login Name field. If you have not yet
customized this setting, refer to “Default logon ID and password” on page
149 for the default logon ID.

Enter your password in the Password field. If you have not yet customized
this setting, refer to “Default logon ID and password” on page 149 for the
default password.
