If you want to use a DDNS service, you must register for it. The Dynamic DNS client service
provider will give you a password or key.
Note:
The gateway supports only basic DDNS, and the login and password might not be
secure. If you have a private WAN IP address, do not use DDNS service as it can lead to
problems
To set up DDNS:
1. On a computer or wireless device that is connected to your gateway, launch a Web
browser.
2. In the address or URL field of your browser, type
http://myrouter
.
3. When prompted to log in, enter
admin
for the user name and type the password. (The
default password is
password
.)
4. Click
Settings > Dynamic DNS
.
5. If you have registered with a DDNS service provider, select the
Use a Dynamic DNS
Service
check box.
6. Select the name of your Dynamic DNS service provider.
7. Type the host name that your Dynamic DNS service provider gave you. (The DDNS
service provider might call this the domain name.)
8. Type the user name for your DDNS account.
9. Type the password (or key) for your DDNS account.
10. Click
Submit
.
