8-10 Troubleshooting
Beep Codes
If an error occurs during the POST, the server beeps, indicating the type of error.
Each number indicates the number of short beeps, and a hyphen indicates a pause. For example, the
beep interval 1-2-2-3 indicates 1 beep, pause, 2 beeps, pause, 2 beeps, pause, and 3 beeps notifying
that the checksum error occurred on ROM.

1. Check if the optional add-in card is properly
installed.
2. Run the BIOS setup utility to check the IRQ
assignment.
3. Ask your service representative to replace the add-
in card or mother board.

Replace the mother board.

DRAM refresh test error
1. Check if the DIMM is properly installed.
2. Remove the DIMM once, and then re-install it to
check if it operates normally.
3. Ask your service representative to replace the failed

1. Check if the keyboard is properly connected.
2. Replace the mother board.
