Intel
generated
a
specification
for
integrated
LCD
support
in
PC
systems,
called
Common
Panel
Interface
Specification
(CPIS)
.
The
852GM/GME
graphics
controller
uses
the
LCD
interfaces.
LVDS
signals
are
brought
out
to
a
50
pin
header
on
the
motherboard.
Although
CPIS
specifies
an
LCD
connector
the
7402
does
not
use
it
because
it
does
not
support
24
‐
bit
color
LCD.
DVI Interface
The
DVI
supports
NCR
display
peripherals
such
as
the
5964
as
well
as
standard
PC
digital
monitors.
USB Port Functionality
The
motherboard
supports
six
USB
ports
with
the
following
characteristics:
•
USB
v.2.0
(EHCI)
and
Intel
Universal
HCI
v.1.1
(UHCI)
compatible
•
Three
independent
UHCI
host
controllers
plus
the
EHCI
,
all
can
map
to
any
physical
port
•
Each
Host
Controller
has
its
own
root
hub

Integrated
physical
layer
transceivers
with
over
‐
current
detection
status
on
USB
inputs
•
Legacy
PS/2
keyboard
and
PS/2
mouse
support
so
that
legacy
software
can
run
transparently
in
a
non
‐
USB
‐
aware
operating
system
environment.

Permits
hot
plug
and
play
and
isochronous
peripherals
to
be
inserted
into
the
system
with
universal
driver
support.
Two
standard
Type
A
USB
ports,
and
two
12V
Powered
USB
ports
appear
external
to
the
terminal
on
I/O
row.
One
24V
Powered
USB
port
is
available
on
the
P4
Retail
Daughter
card.
The
remaining
USB
port
is
internal
to
the
unit
and
reserved
to
support
future
releases
(USB
Touch,
USB
Biometrics,
etc).
