To replace ink cartridges, follow the steps below.
Step 1 :
Verify that the plotter has been switched ON.
Notes
•
Do not replace ink cartridges when the plotter is OFF. Doing so may result in incorrect detection of the
remaining ink and result in abnormal printing behaviour.
Step 2 :
Remove the empty ink cartridge(s) (1) from the ink cartridge slot (s) (2).
Notes
•
A used ink cartridge must be put in a vinyl bag or bag used for this kind of waste. Disposal of an ink
cartridge has to be done in compliance with the regulations and instructions of the local authorities.

Step 3 :
Unpack the new ink cartridge(s).
Notes
•
When replacing ink cassettes on the Drafstation Pro, be aware to insert the same ink cassettes as
those who were in previous.
•
If you insert the second configuration without performing a cleaning, the printer will be defected.
•
When you want to switch from 1 configuration to another, contact your local Mutoh dealer.
Notes
•
Use the ink cartridges within 2 years from the date printed on the package. Using an ink cartridge after
this period may affect the print quality.
•
Replace the ink cartridge within 6 months after installing it into the plotter.
Step 4 :
Insert the new ink cartridge(s).
Step 5 :
Verify that the plotter returns to Normal mode.
Notes
•
The plotter resumes printing when you have replaced (an) ink cartridge(s) after an ink end occurred
during printing.
