When you have to receive product service within the warranty period, verify you have a warranty
certificate. If the warranty certificate is not presented, the parts and service will not be included in the
warranty and will be charged for.
If you have signed a maintenance service contract, than present the contract to the service technician.
7.1 MALFUNCTION AND FAILURE OF THE PRODUCT
This section describes the malfunction and failure of the product without displaying errors, and possible
causes and countermeasures.
Be sure to read and understand the safety warnings before handling the printer.
7.1.1 Problem at installation and introduction
(1) Cannot perform ink initial filling

Close the front cover, or lower the media

Are all four ink cartridges fully
inserted?

Fully insert the waste fluid tank.

(2) Ink does not come out after initial filling

The ink cartridge is cool and
frozen.
Head clogging.
Leave the cartridge at room temperature for at
least 3 hours, and perform a head cleaning
several times.

The power has been switched
OFF during initial ink fill.
Switch the power on again and continue initial
filling.

Normal printing cannot be
performed after initial filling.
Perform cleaning several times, and check it
each time.

(3) Cannot install plotter driver

Does the CD-ROM file
name contain "*.INF"?
Correctly specify the CD-ROM or the drive which
contains the driver program, or folder, and install the
plotter driver again.
