6.2.3 Setup menu items
Setup item
Description
TestPlot Menu
To perform a Test plot.
MediaSet Menu
To make various settings on printing media.
Command Menu
To set various conditions of the plotter commands.
PenSetup Menu
To make various settings on the pen used for printing.
Layout Menu
To make various settings on the layout function.
Function Menu
To make various settings on the process of print data.
Network Menu
To make various settings on the network interface.
Utility Menu
To make various settings on the advanced functions of the plotter.
Consumption Menu
To display the remaining ink quantity and life cycle status of the cutter.
We will put the settings in three categories:
1. Settings that are needed to operate the machine, marked in BLACK
2. Settings are used only for compatibility with the old HPGL protocol, these are marked in
RED
3. Settings that are used to operate the machine, but that are controlled / overruled by RIP software.
These will be marked in
BLUE
These settings are in the machine only for troubleshooting, in case your RIP software is failing to
control them.

When the menu display item of the Utility menu is set to Normal, the following menus will NOT be
displayed.

SetupPlot
To print the Setup list.

To perform a head alignment.

To print the pen colour palette of the plotter.

Plots out a small maintenance record.
