Command ping
host
Description
Enables you to assess network connectivity by sending an echo request
packet to an address and waiting for a reply. Ping reply helps you to
determine path-to-host reliability, delays over the path and whether the
host is reachable and functioning.
The ping will function continuously until you press <
Ctrl-C
> to stop it.
Syntax
Description
host
: Specifies the host name of the system to ping. This can be a host
name or an IP address.
Example
OS2400# ping 195.91.136.254

Description
Displays the entries in the ARP table.
Syntax
Description
This command has no arguments or keywords.
