OptiSwitch-2400/L3 Architecture 

The OptiSwitch-2400/L3 includes the following:  

■

  12 slots, each slot accommodates one cassette that can 

contain upto two port modules. 

■

  CPU Controller Module – Hardware configuration controller 

located in the middle of the top front of the chassis. 

 

NOTE: 

This module is not user accessible and its RS 232 port is for maintenance use only. 

 

■

  Routing Controller Module-Routing engine supporting all 

routing protocols and functions. Located at the right most slot 

at the top front. 

■

  Power Supply Host – installed at the rear of the chassis. 

■

  Upto two PS hosts can be installed. Each PS host supports upto 

two hot swappable power supplies.
