Ensure that ambient fresh air can be sucked in at the Fresh air inlet
port (11). Consider to connect a hose leading fresh air to analyser.
The flow rate of the gas should be within 60ln/h.
Otherwise, please check probe and filter for clogging. Check also
whether there is a device alarm.
Temperatures of NDIR and heating hose should be within the specified
range in order to guarantee a sufficient measuring accuracy.
See also Chapter 16 Specifications, page 95.
Switch-on, warm-up phase, zero point
After switching on, the instrument can always be operated, even if no
gas analysis can take place during the warm-up phase. The instrument
independently performs the following actions during the warm-up
phase:
•
Heating the probe and the heating hose
•
Warm up the NDIR bench
•
After the operating temperatures have been reached, the gas
pump is switched on and the analyser takes the zero point with
fresh air.
•
After the zeroing, the analyser is ready for operation.
It takes one hour from the start of the analyser to the completion
of zeroing.
If the ambient air is contaminated during the last two minutes of
zeroing, the zero point is extended by approx. three to ten minutes.
If there is no serious zero point after the zero-point extension,
a message appears in the display.
In this case, check the ambient air.
If the Setting “Analyser start with –
stored zero point “is act
ivated the
ambient air is not checked
