7.4.2.3 Special applications

The following circuits (S-1, S-2, S-3 and S-4) describe special cases of cur-
rent measurement for hot-spot calculation on 3 different windings (e.g. three-
winding transformer or transformer with tertiary winding).

Only use these circuits in symmetrical grids. Note that you must always take
the W1 voltage and current measurements on the low-voltage side of the
transformer.

lation and hot-spot calculation on winding 1

▪ W2: Current measurement for hot-spot calculation on winding 2
