Important information for the usage of motors!
y
Certain motors are intended for operation on the servo drive. Direct connection to the mains
supply can cause irreparable damage to the motor.
y
The motor surfaces may become extremely hot. No temperature sensitive parts may touch or
be fastened to these areas, appropriate measures to prevent physical contact must be taken
wherever necessary.
y
To avoid overheating of the motor, the motor holding brake installed in the winding must be
connected to the terminals of the temperature monitoring system for the servo drive
(X5 or X6).
y
The motor brake (if installed) should be checked for correct function before commissioning
the motor. Motor holding brakes are only designed for a limited number of emergency braking
operations. Use as a service brake is not allowed.

must be connected.

Configuration of the inputs/outputs

1. Deactivate the safety function "STO"
by setting the inputs
