Data compression : you can define three different image compression levels: Full Quality, Standard Quality
and Low file size.
Standard Quality is enabled by default.
See chapter 3.6.4 for further information on the size of the pictures according to the selected compression
level and acquisition level.
High Contrast filter If enabled, a digital filter is applied to the image. It could increase the snapshot times of
the images. Do not activate unless necessary.
Enabled shared folder management
The shared folder management is useful when several MacroVIEW stations (If present) are working on the
same cases. In fact, with this function activated, when a case is opened by a station and another station tries
to open it, a warning message appears, communicating that the case is already opened by another system
and displaying its IP address and when the case has been opened. Here below is an example.
It is only possible to activate and use this function if saved online.

If you decide to save the files directly on the MacroVIEW PC, the software will alert the operator when the
memory is running out. In particular, the following two cases may occur:
1) When less than 50 GB of hard disk space is available, the following yellow dot will appear on the Rec
Video button.
Every time a video is started, the following message will appear before recording begins:
“There is less than 50GByte of free space on disk. Free up disk space”. Click OK for the video recording to
begin.
If the unit cannot remain connected via LAN and therefore be saved on the server, the
cases will be saved on the PC.
For Windows 10, the default path is:
C:\Users\Public\Documents\Milestone srl\MacroView5\IMAGES.
In this case, it is strongly recommended to make a daily backup of the MacroVIEW cases
executed on an external device.
Milestone strongly suggests storing the cases on a server with an automatic backup
procedure.
