12.2 Transport and storage
The symbols listed in Ä Chapter 12.1 “Symbols on the packaging”
on page 108 are attached to the packaging. Observe these sym-
bols when handling packages.
Store the packages under the following conditions:
n Do not store outdoors.
n Store in a dry and dust-free location.
n Do not expose to aggressive media.
n Protect against direct sunlight.
n Avoid mechanical shocks.
n Storage temperature:
– -4 °F – +122 °F (-20 °C – +50 °C)
– +41 °F – +95 °F (+5 °C – +35 °C) at a relative humidity of up
to 90%, non-condensing
– +41 °F – +122 °F (+5 °C – +50 °C) at a water vapor pressure
of up to 50 hPa
n Relative air humidity: max. 90%, non-condensing.
n Permissible air pressure: 10 psi – 15.5 psi (680 – 1,070 hPa).
n If storing for longer than 3 months, check the general condition
of all parts and the packaging regularly. If necessary, renew or
replace preserving agents.
Under certain circumstances, storage instructions may be affixed
to packages that extend beyond the requirements specified here.
Comply with these instructions accordingly.
The period of storage of the electrodes should not be longer than
24 months.
