Sweet and sour chicken
Preparation time: 65–75 minutes
Serves 6
Ingredients
800 g chicken breast
400 g plums, stoned
40 g fresh ginger
1 small bunch of spring onions
Salt
Pepper
3 tbsp oil
40 g butter
100 ml white wine
100 ml orange juice
100 ml chicken stock
1 tsp honey
50 ml double cream

Method
Peel the ginger and grate finely. Cut the
spring onions into 2 cm pieces.
Season the chicken with salt and
pepper. Heat the oil in the Gourmet
oven dish and sear the chicken briefly.
Add the butter, spring onions and
ginger and fry briefly.
Add the white wine, orange juice and
chicken stock. Add the plums and
honey and pour the cream over the
chicken. Cook in the oven. Thicken the
sauce if necessary using a little
cornflour mixed with water.
