Plaited walnut loaf
Preparation time: 100–110 minutes

Ingredients
1 cube of fresh yeast (42 g)
200 ml lukewarm milk
500 g strong white flour
50 g sugar
2 tsp vanilla sugar
A pinch of salt
100 g softened butter
1 egg
100 g chopped walnuts

Method
Dissolve the yeast in the lukewarm milk.
Then add to the flour, sugar, vanilla
sugar, salt, butter and egg and knead to
form a smooth dough. Cover and place
the dough in the oven to prove for 30–
40 minutes using Conventional heat at
35 °C.
Add the chopped walnuts and knead
into the dough. Form three 40 cm long
rolls out of the dough. Plait the strips
and place on baking tray or the
Gourmet perforated baking tray.
Cover and prove at room temperature
for 10 minutes.
Brush the loaf with milk and bake.
