Personnel selection and qualifications; main duties
Work on the machinery/equipment may only be performed by authorized person-
nel. The legally permissible minimum age must be observed!
Only skilled and trained personnel may be used for its operation, setup, mainte-
nance and repair!
Ensure that only authorized personnel work on the machine!
It is the operator’s responsibility – including with regard to transport regulations –
to accept and reject dangerous instructions from third parties!
Personnel being educated, schooled, instructed or in general training may only
work on the machinery/equipment under the constant supervision of an experi-
enced person!
Work on machinery/equipment electrical systems may only be performed by a
qualified electrician or by persons being trained under the direction and supervision
of a qualified electrician in accordance with electrical engineering regulations.
Work on gas equipment (gas appliances) may only be performed by personnel
trained for this.
Only personnel with special skills and experience in hydraulics may work on hy-
draulic devices!

Safety guidelines for operation
Refrain from any dangerous work methods!
Take steps to ensure that the machinery/equipment is only operated in safe and
proper working condition!
Operate the machinery only when all protective devices and safety-related equip-
ment such as releasable protective devices, emergency stop devices, sound insula-
tion and extractors, are present and functional!
At least once per shift the machinery/equipment should be checked for externally
visible damage and defects! Immediately inform the responsible agency/personnel
of any changes (including operating behaviour)! If possible, immediately shut the
machinery down and secure it!
In the case of malfunctions, immediately shut the machinery/equipment down and
secure it! Fix malfunctions immediately!
Observe on and off procedures and control displays in accordance with operating
instructions!
Before turning on/starting the machinery/equipment, ensure that nobody may be
endangered by the running machinery/equipment!
Do not shut off or remove suction and ventilation devices when the machine is
running!
