instrument display malfunction
If the Instrument Display has failed or mal‐
functioned, you may not recognise function
restrictions applying to safety relevant sys‐
tems.
The operating safety of your vehicle may be
impaired.

Drive on carefully.

Have the vehicle checked immediately
at a qualified specialist workshop.
If your vehicle's operational safety is impaired,
park the vehicle in a safe location immediately.
Inform a qualified specialist workshop.

NOTE Engine damage due to excessively
high engine speeds
The engine will be damaged if you drive with
the engine in the overrevving range.

Do not drive with the engine in the over‐
revving range.
When the red marking in the rev counter

is
reached (overspeed range), the fuel supply will be
interrupted in order to protect the engine.

WARNING Danger of burns when open‐
ing the bonnet
If you open the engine bonnet when the
engine has overheated or during a fire in the
engine compartment, you could come into
contact with hot gases or other escaping
operating fluids.

Before opening the bonnet, allow the
engine to cool down.
#
In the event of a fire in the engine com‐
partment, keep the engine bonnet
closed and call the fire service.
