THE TEMPERATURE INDICATOR
(ON THE DASHBOARD) DOES NOT
WORK
A) Check the temperature sensor
• The temperature sensor is located
on the thermal part of the engine and
it can be accessed by removing the
helmet compartment.
• Disconnect the red/black cable
terminal from the sensor and earth
it (F. 38):

Pointer at the end of the scale:
replace the temperature sensor
- The pointer does not move: conti-
nue searching.
B) Check the dashboard temperatu-
re indicator
• By means of two cables supply
voltage directly to the six-way
connector of the dashboard and
make sure that the cables are
correctly fitted (F. 39):
- Battery cable (+):
blue cable
terminal
- Battery cable (-): red/black
cable terminal
- The pointer does not move:
replace the whole dashboard
- Pointer at the end of the scale:
continue searching.
C) Check the continuity of the red/
black cable
• Check the continuity by means of
the tester (

x 1) between the
terminal, which is fitted in the sensor,
and the terminal, which is fitted in
the six-way connector of the
dashboard. Locate the break and
repair (see electric diagram).

A) Contrôle capteur température
• Le capteur se trouve sur la partie
thermique du moteur, accessible
en enlevant le coffre à casque.
• Débrancher la cosse du câble
rouge/noir du capteur, et
l’introduire à masse (F. 38):
- Aiguille de l’indicateur en bas de
l’échelle: capteur température à
changer
- Aiguille de l’indicateur immobile:
poursuivre la recherche.
B) Contrôle de l’indicateur de tem-
pérature tableau de bord
• Amener la tension, au moyen de
deux fils, directement au connecteur
à six voies du tableau de bord, en
regardant si les câbles sont introduits
correctement (F. 39):
- Câble (+) batterie: cosse câble
bleu
- Câble (-) batterie: cosse câble rou-
ge/noir
- Aiguille de l’indicateur immobile:
changer tout le tableau de bord
- Aiguille de l’indicateur en bas de
l’échelle : poursuivre la recherche.
C) Contrôle continuité du câble rou-
ge/noir
• Contrôler la continuité à l’aide du
testeur (

x 1) entre la cosse
introduite dans le capteur et la
cosse introduite dans le
connecteur à six voies du tableau
de bord. Trouver l’interruption et
réparer (voir schéma électrique).
INDICADOR TEMPERATURA
(EN EL SALPICADERO) NO
FUNCIONA
A) Control detector temperatura
• Situado en la parte térmica del
motor, se llega a él desplazando el
espacio casco.
• Desconectar el terminal cable rojo/
negro del detector, y conectarlo en
masa (F. 38):
-
Aguja indicadora en fondo escala:
sustituir detector temperatura
- Aguja indicadora no se mueve:
continuar la búsqueda.
B) Control indicador temperatura
salpicadero
• Llevar tensión, con dos cables,
directamente al conector de seis
vías del salpicadero, controlando que
los cables estén conectados
correctamente (F. 39):
- Cable (+) batería: terminal cable
azul
- Cable (-) batería: terminal cable
rojo/negro
- Aguja indicadora no se mueve:
sustituir todo el salpicadero
- Luz indicadora en el fondo de la
escala: continuar la búsqueda.
C) Control continuidad del cable
rojo/negro
• Controlar la continuidad con el tester
(
9
x 1) entre terminal conectado en
el detector y terminal conectado en
el conector de seis vías del
salpicadero. Individuar interrupción
y reparar (ver esquema eléctrico).
