Crankshaft sensor no signal error
CRANKSHAFT SPEED SENSOR
The crankshaft speed sensor is an inductive type sensor. It is mounted on front LH bottom side of the
engine and measures the speed of the trigger wheel mounted on the crankshaft
COMPONENT LOCATION
NORMAL
OPERATION
During engine cranking and running, the EMS ECU receives the output signal
from crankshaft speed sensor and is within the range
DTC DETECTING
CONDITION
Normal signal pattern has not been input from the crankshaft speed sensor for
4 sec. (Engine should be cranked to check this error).
Disturbed signal form
PROBABLE
CAUSES
Sensor mounting loosened
Open/short crankshaft speed sensor circuit
Faulty crankshaft speed sensor
LAMP STATUS
System Check lamp ON
DTC REACTION
Engine will not start.
If this failure occurs when the engine is running then engine shuts off
HEALING
CONDITION
Ignition OFF/ON
