Connect the smart tester
Turn the ignition ON
Initialise the diagnostic tool
Record the DTC and clear
Turn ignition OFF
Turn ignition ON
Verify if P0203 is present?
Is P0203 present?
Intermittent problem exists
Refer the intermittent problem
inspection procedure

Injector 3 wiring harness
connector DISCONNECTED
EMS ECU wiring harness
connector DISCONNECTED
Check the resistance between
pin 2 of Injector 3 wiring harness
connector and pin 29 of the
EMS ECU wiring harness
connector
Check the resistance between
pin 1 of Injector 3 wiring harness
connector and pin 5 of the EMS
ECU wiring harness connector
Is the value < 1
Ω
?
Examine the open circuit of
Injector 3 high side and low side
wires
Repair/replace the wiring
harness
Clear the DTC and verify
NO
Ignition OFF
Injector 3 wiring harness
connector DISCONNECTED
Check the resistance between
pin 1 and pin 2 of the injector 2
STEP 3
Is the value =0.255
±
0.040
Ω
?
Suspect internal failure of the
Injector 3
Repair/replace the wiring
harness
Clear the DTC and verify
Suspect EMS ECU malfunction
Replace EMS ECU with a new
one.
Check and verify for any new
DTC’s
