STEP 1
Connect the smart tester
Turn the ignition ON
Initialise the diagnostic tool
Record the DTC and clear
Turn ignition OFF
Turn ignition ON
Crank the engine
Verify if P0341 is present?
Is P0341 present?
Intermittent problem exists
Refer the intermittent problem
inspection procedure

Is the bolt fitted
properly?
NO
Ignition OFF
Camphase sensor wiring
harness connector
DISCONNECTED
Check for proper fitment of the
cam phase sensor mounting bolt
YES
STEP 3

Ignition OFF
Camphase sensor wiring
harness connector
DISCONNECTED
Remove the cam phase sensor
Check for any damage on the
cam phase sensor front face
Is there any
damage?
Suspect for any foreign particles
presence.
Identify the cause and rectify
Replace the cam phase sensor
with a new one
Clear the DTC and verify
Check the cam shaft end play
Is the end paly with
in limits?
Identify the root cause of the
cam shaft end play and rectify
Clear the DTC and verify
NO
Suspect cam phase sensor
internal failure
Replace cam phase sensor with
a with a new one.
Check and verify for any new
DTC’s
Fix the bolt properly and tighten
it to the torque specified
Clear the DTC and verify
