Seat Belt Pre-tensioners with
Load Limiters (If equipped)
The seat belt pre-tensioners activate in
conjunction with the SRS airbags and
provide additional protection in the event
of frontal impact of the vehicle with
sufficient severity.
The seat belts for both front seating
p o s i t i o n s a r e e q u i p p e d w i t h p r e -
tensioning devices that are designed to
remove any slack from the seat belts in
the event of a collision. These devices
improve the performance of the seat belt
system by assuring that the belt is tight
around the occupant in a collision.
Along with pre-tensioning devices, the
seat belts are also provided with load
limiters which ensure that the occupant is
optimally loaded by the seat belt.
The SRS airbag warning indicator on the
instrument cluster will alert you to any
malfunction of seat belt pre-tensioner.
WARNING
• If the airbag is not serviced when
a warning is given, the airbag may
not function properly in the event of
c o l l i s i o n , o r m a y d e p l o y
unexpectedly.
• Driving with the damaged airbag
sensors is dangerous. A collision,
even if not strong enough to inflate
t h e a i r b a g s, c o u l d d a ma g e t h e
airbag deployment sensors, and
airbags will not inflate during a
subsequent collision. Always have
an Authorised Mahindra Dealer
inspect the airbag system after a
collision.
• Improper disposal of an airbag or
a vehicle with live airbags in it can
be extremely dangerous. See an
Authorised Mahindra Dealer for
disposal of parts.
WARNING
• Do not attempt to service, repair,
replace, modify or tamper with any
part of the pre-tensioner and SRS
airbag SRS, or wiring in the vicinity
of a pre-tensioner or SRS airbag
component. This could cause the
system to activate, resulting in
personal injury.
• Do not use chemical solvents or
strong detergents when cleaning
the steering wheel or instrument
panel to avoid contamination of the
airbag system. Wiping with a damp
cloth only is recommended.

Should you sell your vehicle, we
urge you to tell the new owner about
SRS airbags and get familiarize with
all instructions about SRS airbag
from the Owner's Manual.
