Seat Recline
To adjust the seat back-rest, lean forward
and pull up the recliner lever found on the
outboard right hand side of the seat. Now
lean back until the desired seat back
angle is achieved. To lock the seat back
into position, release the recliner lever.
Ensure that the lever returns to its original
position and back-rest is locked.

WARNING
Avoid reclining on the back-rest
more than the required level. The
s e a t b e l t s p r o v i d e m a x i m u m
protection during collision when the
driver and the front passenger are
sitting upright with the back-rest
well positioned. During collision,
with the seats reclined, the lap belt
may slide past the passenger hips
and apply restraint forces directly to
the abdomen or neck. Failure to
comply can lead to major injury or
death.
CAUTION
Sitting in a reclined position while
the vehicle is moving is dangerous.
For maximum protection, sit well
back and upright. When returning
t h e b a c k - r e s t t o t h e u p r i g h t
position, observe the following
precautions to prevent personal
injury during collision or sudden
stop.
• Make sure that the back-rest is
s e c u r e l y l o c k e d b y p u s h i n g i t
forward and backward.
• Make sure that the seat belts are
n o t t w i s t e d o r c a u g h t i n t h e
backrest and are arranged in their
proper position, and ready to use
