Remove the oil filler cap. 

 
2.

 

Remove the oil separator & pipe from the ladder frame /sump to the rocker cover. 

 

3.

 

Remove the tappet cover mounting Allen screws along with the rubber washer. 

 

4.

 

Remove the tappet cover. 

 

5.

 

Remove NVH Cover & then Rocker Arm Cover with Gasket 

 

6.

 

 Adjust the tappet clearance as per the following procedure … 

 

•

 

Bring no.1 piston at TDC. Ensure no 4 cylinder valve at dancing / rocking position.  

 

•

 

Adjust the tappet clearance of 1

st

 cylinder both Inlet & Exhaust valves as per specifications.   

 

•

 

Turn the engine 180

0

 further in the direction of engine rotation. Adjust tappet of 3

rd

 cylinder 

valves as per specifications.  

 

•

 

Turn the engine 180

0

 further in the direction of engine rotation. Adjust tappet of 4

th

 cylinder 

valves as per specifications.

Turn the engine 180
