At this point, recording is simply “enabled”, but no recording has begun. In order to start recording (or the timer), tap the button
on the far left, be it ‘START’ or ‘REC’.
There are now several more things to notice: (1) ‘START’ or ‘REC’ now becomes ‘PAUSE’, (2) next to ‘PAUSE’ is ‘RESET’
(timer/computer) or ‘STOP’ (microSD or USB), (3) the recording time appears, and (4) the international symbol for a recording
in progress is a red dot (
•
). One will appear above the recording time to the left of a red ‘
REC
’. Orrrrrrr... if using as a timer,
it turns into a green ‘
TIMER
’ with a green clock icon to the left of it. Most importantly, (5) the ‘REC’ button (on the hardware)
now flashes red to indicate that a recording is in progress.
DLZ Creator supports background recording. This means that you may tap any of the tabs and sub-tabs,
the Overview/Home, AutoMix, and even the Rec buttons, etc. while the DLZ Creator continues to record.
Recording will continue until you stop (or pause) it, the power goes out, or the disc / drive runs out of space.
As we are all well aware, there are always exceptions to the rule. So what’s the exception, you ask?
When a recording is in progress – whether paused or not – all features listed in the Settings > Recording
tab are grayed out and unavailable for selection. Additionally, a red “
Recording in progress*
” is added next
to the semicircle-arrow (reset).
