DLZ CREATOR ADAPTIVE DIGITAL MIXER FOR PODCASTING AND STREAMING, FEATURING MIX AGENT™ TECHNOLOGY
80
Chapter 13 : Recording
Recording > Introduction
Not only are these great mixers with some pretty amazing features, but here you can also record the podcast, broadcast,
music recordings and more! This includes multitracking and stereo recording at 48 kHz and 24-bits. We discussed
the recording button very briefly in the hardware chapter, but will go into much more detail here.
Connections
As discussed previously, on the rear panel of the DLZ Creator are three connectors ready to accept recordings:
microSD connector – microSD card
USB-A connector – flash drive
USB-C connector – computer (i.e. DAW)
A Mac should work automatically with no additional drivers.
However, Windows drivers will require separate installation. Simply download it for free from our website.
While the USB-A (flash drive), USB-C and microSD connectors may all be connected simultaneously, they may
NOT be used simultaneously for recording. That said, nothing “takes priority” over the other. YOU choose!
Formatting
We know you’re an eager beaver, all psyched to start recording, but let’s take care of something very important first:
formatting! We won’t go into details here, as this was all outlined in the Settings > Bluetooth / Disk > Format section
of the manual. Check it out again on pages 69-73.
You will want to format
via DLZ Creator
any time...:
(1) ...a brand new (just out-of-box) microSD card and/or flash drive is connected.
(2) ...you want to use an existing microSD card and/or flash drive exclusively for recording and playback
with a DLZ Creator.
