Now tap ‘Load’ in order to view all of the files on the drive. Notice all of the samples on the USB drive below!
Simply tap-and-drag the display up and down to view other samples that may be hidden below, then highlight
the sample you would like to load. ‘Christina is a Dog Walker’ in the example below.
From here, there are a few choices to make. You could return to the previous view by (1) tapping the up arrow in the upper-left
corner of the display, (2) tapping the “X” in the upper-right corner of the display or (3) tapping ‘Cancel’ in the lower-left
of the display.
However, we’re here to LOAD a sample, not back out to the previous view! So, the choices, then, are to (1) ‘Start Preview’
which only PLAYS the selected sample; it does not load it to the assigned pad, or (2) ‘Load’ which LOADS the selected
sample and assigns it to the selected pad.
The display will looks similar to what is displayed below after tapping ‘Load’. And now that a sample has been recorded
(or loaded) and assigned to a sample pad, it is time to give it some flavor! We will start at the top and work our way down.
• Rename Pad –
The sample is initially named as it was on the disk that it was loaded from... but it may be renamed.
Tapping ‘Rename Pad’ reveals an on-screen keyboard so that the pad nickname may be edited.
• Color –
The sample is initially colored hot pink [the default color]... but it may be changed. Tapping on another
color will select that color for that pad. The selected color will have a white outline, as well as a white check mark
in the middle, indicating that it has been chosen. Additionally, the sample color will change in the upper-left corner
of the display and the actual sample pad on the hardware will also update to the chosen color.
