Replacing Draper Idler Roller Bearing
1.
Remove draper deck idler roller. For instructions, refer to
Removing Draper Idler Roller, page 187

Clamp idler roller (A) in a vise, with cloth wrapped around
the roller to prevent damage to the roller.
3.
Use a slide hammer to remove bearing assembly (B) and
seal (C) from the roller.

IMPORTANT:
When installing the new bearing, do
NOT
place the end of the
roller directly onto the ground. Bearing assembly (A) protrudes
past roller tube (B), and placing the end on the ground will push
the bearing farther into the tube.

4.
Cut a relief (A) into a block of wood.
5.
Place the end of idler roller (B) onto the block, with the
protruding bearing assembly inside relief (A).
