Note
Insulate the cable shield of the connection cable
CC 15
with a heat shrinkable tube.
The adaptation element jumpers
on the
UCM 15
are closed on delivery, i.e. the adaption elements are
deactivated .
All terminal signals on the connection module are connected in parallel. The
UCM 15
can be divided into
two
separate halves (→ Dashed line ----- on the
UCM 15
), by removing
all three
factory closed jumpers
(
JP1
to
JP3
►
). Each half can then be connected to cable connections
I
and
II
in the
SCU 835
using a separate
CC 15
connection cables (→ 3.2.1, 3.2.3).
5.5
Plug connectors SECcon 15
SECcon 15
plug connectors are used to connect the
SEC 15
sensor cable with the
CC 15
connection cable leading
to the
SCU 835
. In the case of prefabricated sensor cables, the opposite side is closed with an end device
END
. Ex-
tensions of sensor cable is easily possible. Instead of the end device
END
, further prefabricated connectors can be
supplied.
SEC 15
sensor cables or
CC 15
connecting cables can be connected to these (→ 3.2.4). The connectors
for the
CC 15
connection cables are connected on site, so they are usually not supplied prefabricated.
5.5.1
Connect connection cable CC 15
For the
CC 15
connecting cables, the connectors are supplied separately and must be connected on site. Two vari-
ants are required if sensor cable will be extended with
CC 15
connection cable:
A female connector
SECcon 15-C/f
as well as a male connector
SECcon 15-C/m
.
Procedure for
connecting
the connectors:
Strip the connecting cable as indicated
(Use cable cross section between
Ø 0.5 mm
.…
Ø 2.5 mm
).
Open
SECcon 15
female or male connector and push the housing of
the connector over the
CC 15
connection cable. Insert the wires into
the spring terminals of the connector and test for correct anchoring by
means of a tension test. Insulate the cable shield of the connecting
cable
CC 15
with heat shrinkable sleeve.
