Instructions for use
SCU 835 / SEC 15
Co-incidence detection resp. double-knock (two-sensor dependency)
When activated via checkbox, an alarm is
only
triggered if at least two sensors of the same alarm zone fulfil
the alarm criterion. The alarms must be of the same type (algorithm specific alarm or maximum alarm).
Default:
not activated
.
Attention
If
only one sensor
in one alarm zone exceeds the alarm criterion, the sensor remains in the pre-signal
state until a second sensor also exceeds the alarm criterion. At this point the status of the sensor
changes from pre-signal to alarm and a zone alarm is generated. If this is not the case,
no
alarm will be
issued.
The correct function is
only
ensured if the sensors are logically numbered according to their physical po-
sition in the sensor cable (→ Operating manual
GUI d-LISTconfig
, document
60T340
).
Day/Night operation
In special cases, deviating threshold value parameters may be necessary, which are limited in time, e.g. for
production halls. This avoids false alarms caused by e.g. steam or high pressure cleaners. The alarm trig-
gering is made less sensitive by this function. Default:
not activated
.
Note
If an input is deactivated, a follow-up time between
1 ... 60
minutes
must
be specified. Each input can be
programmed with a different follow-up time. After the respective timer has passed, the algorithm-specific
temperature alarm evaluation is completely functional again.
Attention
This function only takes effect if the maximum temperature threshold is exceeded and can therefore slow
down the alarm triggering. It should therefore
only be used
in special applications such as cold stores.

Communication interfaces
The
SCU 835
has various communication interfaces, some of which can be queried in parallel if the relevant inter-
face is activated (→ 3.19).
Communication via the serial interfaces
RS485
or
RS232
is only possible either/or. Both cannot be used at the
same time, as they are controlled by the same internal device (
