b.  Position the microprocessor retainer with the microprocessor on the heat-sink-and-fan assembly. 

Insert two retaining clips of the retainer into the corresponding holes in the heat-sink-and-fan 
assembly

. Then, press the other two clips downward until you hear two clicks

. Ensure that the 

retainer with the microprocessor is securely seated on the heat-sink-and-fan assembly. 

Note:

To install the microprocessor 1 on the heat-sink-and-fan assembly 1, ensure that the 

engraved number 1 on the bottom of the heat-sink-and-fan assembly is visible. To install the 
microprocessor 2 on the heat-sink-and-fan assembly 2, ensure that the engraved number 2 on the 
bottom of the heat-sink-and-fan assembly is visible.
