Installing the rear adapter retention bracket

Rear adapter retention bracket

Hinge pins

To install the rear adapter retention bracket, do the following:

1. Insert the bottom hinge point on the rear adapter retention bracket into the

matching hole in the chassis; then, insert the top hinge point into the matching
hole.

2. Install the adapters (see “Installing an adapter” on page 184).

3. Close the rear adapter retention bracket.

4. Install and lock the side cover (see “Installing the left-side cover” on page 158).

5. Reconnect the external cables and power cords; then, turn on the attached

devices and turn on the server.
