Appendix A. System memory speed
The Intel Xeon

, Intel Core ™ , and Intel Pentium

microprocessor families compatible with this ThinkStation
computer feature an integrated memory controller. The memory controller provides the microprocessor with
direct access to the system memory. Therefore, the system memory speed will be determined by the
memory module type, frequency, size (capacity), the number of memory modules installed, and the
microprocessor model.
Refer to the following information about the system memory modules:
