ATTACHING TO TRACTOR
With the mulcher on a level surface and the
transport wheels blocked:
4-5.1
Back the tractor into the hitch clevis so that
the holes align.
4-5.2
Set the tractor brakes and turn the tractor
engine off.
4-5.3
Install an agricultural hitch pin with a lock-
ing device. The hitch pin must be rated for
the size tractor pulling the implement. Secure
the locking device. Place tongue jack in
transport position.

Connect the transport cylinder hydraulic
lines to the tractor (if equipped).

BE SURE NO ONE IS BETWEEN TRAC-
TOR AND IMPLEMENT DURING HITCH-
ING OPERATION WHILE TRACTOR EN-
GINE IS RUNNING.

UNHITCHING FROM TRACTOR
4-6.1
Locate the mulcher and tractor on a level
surface.
4-6.2
With the machine lowered to the ground,
install blocks ahead of and behind the
mulcher ground wheels.
4-6.3
After relieving the hydraulic pressure, dis-
connect the hydraulic lines from the tractor.
4-6.4
Lower the tongue jack until the hitch pin is
free.
4-6.5
Remove the hitch pin carefully.

GINE IS RUNNING.

NEVER USE YOUR HANDS TO LOCATE
A HYDRAULIC LEAK. USE A PIECE OF
WOOD OR CARDBOARD. HYDRAULIC
FLUID ESCAPING UNDER PRESSURE
CAN PENETRATE THE SKIN CAUSING
SERIOUS INJURY.

OPENINGS IN THE SKIN AND MINOR
CUTS ARE SUSCEPTIBLE TO INFEC-
TION FROM HYDRAULIC FLUID. IF IN-
JURED BY ESCAPING FLUID, SEE A
DOCTOR AT ONCE. WITHOUT IMMEDI-
ATE MEDICAL TREATMENT, SERIOUS
INFECTION CAN OCCUR.
