TRACTOR REQUIREMENTS
4-2.1
On average flat ground conditions, a mini-
mum of five drawbar horsepower per foot of
width will be required to pull the mulcher.
This requirement will vary depending on
types of soil, soil conditions, operating depth
of the teeth, and the type of rollers used on
your particular machine.
4-2.2
The weight of the pulling vehicle must ex-
ceed the weight of the mulcher.
4-2.3
The mulcher may be used to firm seed-
beds after planting by not engaging the
spring teeth. This will reduce the horsepower
requirement for this application.
4-2.4
The tractor must have one set of hydraulic
outlets with at least 1600 psi. The mulcher
requires a 3-1/2” x 16” standard ASAE cylin-
der with 1-1/4” diameter clevis pins.
4-2.5
Recommended Minimum Horsepower:
10’ model - 50 hp
12’ model - 60 hp
13’ model - 65 hp
14’ model - 70 hp
15’ model - 75 hp
18’ model - 90 hp
