3-12 LINKAGE ASSEMBLY - 10’ - 15’ MODELS
3-12.1 Attach two front links and two rear links to
transport axle levers as shown. Use four 3/4”
x 2” pins, and four 1/8” x 1-1/4” cotter pins
(See Figures 3-2, 3-3, and 3-15) .
3-12.2 Rotate front and rear spring tooth bars and
insert four 3/4” x 2” pins into the linkage and
front or rear level assembly. Secure pins with
four 1/8” x 1-1/4” cotter pins.
Note: 10’ machine has single tooth bar linkage
and three transport axle bearings.

Recheck to make sure the twin tooth bar
links are pinned in the same holes on both
sides of the machine. Grease the four (4)
transport axle bearings. Place blocks in front
of and behind the transport tires, or hook the
Mulcher to a tractor. Properly attach hydrau-
lic hoses to a power source and slowly ex-
tend the cylinder. Observe the spring teeth
as the cylinder extends. If the tooth bars do
not rotate freely, recheck installation in the
Operating Instructions section of this manual
as a reference.
3-12.4 Place 6” blocks under the outside of front
and rear roller gangs. Retract the cylinder to
rotate the spring teeth into field position.
Teeth should be down and the top of the
tooth bars nearly level if set up according to
recommendations in this manual. Cycle sev-
eral times to assure freedom of rotation.
3-12.5 Check center-to-center distance of mount-
ing pins on extended 3-1/2” x 16” cylinder.
Length center-to-center has to be 47-1/2” to
47-5/8”.
