Traveling Speed (Rotation) Sensor
1) Connector Terminal Voltage
1. Disconnect the
2P
connector (2) from the traveling speed
sensor (1) after turning the main switch
OFF
.
2. Turn the main switch
ON
and measure the voltage with a
voltmeter across the connector terminal
2
(3) and the chassis.
3. If the voltage differs from the battery voltage, the wiring harness
or meter panel is faulty.
2) Output Voltage
1. Lift up the machine, and support it with disassembling jacks.
2. Set the 4WD lever to
4WD
position.
3. Start the engine and shift the range shift lever in
L
position.
4. Depress the speed control pedal fully, and measure the output
voltage with a voltmeter across the sensor terminal
2
(6) and the
chassis.
5. If the reference value is not indicated, the sensor is faulty.

Fuel Gauge and Coolant Temperature Gauge Operation
1. Remove the under panel.
2. Turn the main switch to
ON
position. Measure the voltage with
a voltmeter across the
I
terminal (5) and
G
terminal (3) of the
gauge.
3. If approx. battery voltage is indicated, the ignition and ground
lead connections are good.
4. Turn the main switch to
OFF
position. Connect a jumper lead
between
S
terminal (4) and
G
terminal (3) of the gauge.
5. Turn the main switch to
ON
position. If the gauge resisters a full
scale reading under those conditions, the gauge is good. If less
than full scale reading is indicated, the gauge is defective and
should be replaced.
