Inspection/adjustment of throttle cable

*Note

The engine idle speed should be properly adjusted

before adjusting the stroke of throttle cable.

Check the free stroke [1] of throttle cable

Free stroke: 3-5mm.

If it is inconsistent with the specified value, make

adjustment.

Adjust the free stroke of throttle cable.

Adjustment steps:



Loosen the locknut [1].



Screw the adjusting nut [2] inward or

outward until the specified free stroke is

reached. If it is screwed in, the free stroke

will increase; if it is screwed out, the free

stroke will decrease.



Tighten the locknut.



After adjusting the free stroke, rotate the

lever to the left and right to confirm whether

the idle speed of engine has changed.

If the upper end of adjusting throttle cable cannot

reach the specified free gap, adjust the lower end of

throttle cable. The steps are the same as the

procedures for adjusting the upper end of throttle

cable.
