4.6.2.9 Automatic setting of the cutting length by
maturity detection on the on the maize
plant (AutoScan)
The system uses the AutoScan sensor to detect the
degree of maturity of the maize plant.
The AutoScan control electronics calculate the
optimum cutting length of the maize plant from the
previously entered minimum and maximum cutting
length and control the speed of the pre-compression
rollers accordingly.
• To open the „AutoScan“ settings menu, press the
C
key (only for setting of maize header operating
mode).
• Activating the
D
key brings up the basic screen.
• To open the settings for AutoScan, press the
C
key (only for setting of operating modes grass or
XDisc).
• Pressing the
key on the rotary potentiometer
takes you one menu level back.
