There is a cam clutch (1) on the chain drive of the pick-up, for “star ratchet” version. The cam
clutch (1) protects the chain drive pick-up against load peaks.
Needle yoke

The connecting rod (1) of the needle yoke is secured by a shear bolt (2) (left-hand side of the
machine).
The shear bolt protects the knotter needle and the needle yokes against load peaks.
