4.3 Electrical installation: 2-wire, loop-powered
4.3.1 Compact version
CAUTION!
Output 1 energizes the device and is used for HART
®
communication. If the device has the
second current output option, use a separate power supply to energize output 2. If the device has
a switch output - relay option, use a separate power supply (connect the power supply to the
switch power supply terminals).

CAUTION!
•
Use the applicable electrical cables with the cable glands.
•
Make sure that the current is not more than 4 A or that there is 4 A-rated fuse in the
electrical circuit that energizes the device.
•
Make sure that the polarity of the power supply is correct. If the polarity is incorrect, you will
not cause damage to the device but the device will not operate.
