Enter the FAX number of the remote station from the key pad.

Numbers containing up to 38 digits can be entered.
•
An unspecified abbreviated dial number appears in the Abbr No. screen. Press
Abbr
No . and input a new abbreviated dial number with the key pad to specify the number.

Press DELETE or [ STOP/CLEAR ] to clear the whole entry.

Enter the name of the abbreviated dial number as required.
For details, see "Entering Character Strings" (p. Appendix-2).
The name can be a string of up to 24 characters.

A name or comment that can be searched later is set auto-
matically if the name is entered at step 5.
If you want to change the string, register the name again.
Use the keys A through No. etc .

Press ENTRY .
A subsequent unregistered number appears. To register the next abbreviated dial num-
ber with the number, go to step 4.

You can register Original setting or Advanced com . For details, see "Setting abbrevi-
ated dial numbers" (p. 9-2).
•
To stop registering the abbreviated dial number, press BACK .
