3.7 Troubleshooting

5. Loosen air bleeder (4) of the supply pump and the operator
the priming pump to prime with fuel.
Fuel will overflow from air bleeder (4). Continue priming until
no more bubbles come out with the fuel, then tighten air
bleeder (4).
Tightening torque:
4.9 to 6.9N·m {0.5 to 0.7kgf·m, 3.6 to 5.1 lbft}
NOTE
Do not use feed pump (5) supplied with the supply pump.
6. Carry out priming a further approx. 20 times, then securely
tighten wing nut (3) holding the lever of the priming pump.
Tightening torque:
11.8N·m {1.2kg·m, 8.7lbft}
7. Turn the starting switch to the START position. The engine
will start.
