VEHICLE TOWING
Vehicle is towed by other vehicles of the same
type by means of a rigid towing.
For vehicle towing remove the plugs in buffer fac-
ing, install the tow yokes (see Fig.

). Install the tow device.
When towing the vehicle with a non-operated en-
gine, use the tire inflation hose for charging the pneumatic
brake actuator with compressed air.
Connect one end of the inflation hose to the extra
brake release valve or to the check output valve of the
parking brake system of the towing vehicle. The second
end of the hose is to be connected on the towing vehicle
to the inflation valve located on the right side of the vehi-
cle, under the cover of the cab instep hatch (see Fig.

).
It is forbidden to open the hatch of the foot step
shield for more than 90° to make the tire inflation valve
accessible.
Tighten the tire inflation valve till the rest clock-
wise and unscrew for two revolutions counterclockwise to
open the valve. Taking into account the pressure indica-
tors make sure that pneumatic drive is filled in.
Attention!
Tow yokes are provided for towing the vehicle.
It is strictly forbidden to tow KAMAZ vehicle with
an inoperative engine , irrespective of distance, with
driving axles’ propeller shafts being connected. The
propeller shaft of rear axle drive in vehicles with wheel
arrangement 4х2 should be removed.
