PRELIMINARIES FOR VEHICLE MOTION
Prior to the vehicle movement:
1. Perform vehicle daily maintenance (see section
6 «
Maintenance
»).
2. Check fuel reserve in fuel tank by indicator.
When the volume of fuel decreases in fuel tank to
12 % from its total volume the fuel reserve pilot lamp
,
located on instrument panel in the zone of tank fuel level
indicator, flashes on.
If fuel level in vehicle fuel tank is low, air may in-
gress into fuel feed system causing unstable engine opera-
tion or its stop succeeded by hard or failed starting.
Engine operation is not recommended at reserve
residual fuel indicator actuation.
If air gets into fuel feed system, be sure to prime
the tank and bleed fuel system before the engine is started
(see section 7 «
Possible malfunctions of vehicle units and
systems. Self-help
»)
Fuel the vehicle in accordance with recommenda-
tions, presented in Appendices 2, 3.
Attention!
Before vehicle priming shut off the engine and
cab independent heater.
If at fuel tank opening the air sharp output is ob-
served (increased air pressure in the tank) or air suction
(vacuum in the tank), it is necessary to change the air fil-
ter of fuel tank.
Replacement of fuel tank air filter is described in
Section 6 «
Maintenance
».
3. Check availability of neutralizing fluid. If on in-
strument panel the pilot lamp of neutralizing fluid level in
neutralization system flashed up
, top up the neutraliz-
ing fluid AdBlue.
Neutralizing liquid should be used in accord with
recommendations, specified in Appendices 2, 3.
