AFTER-TREATMENT SYSTEM
After-treatment system is designed to decrease the
emissions of nitride oxides as result of injection of neu-
tralizing liquid into engine exhaust system.
With ignition key rotated to the «ON» position in
instrument (position of motion) cluster, the information
about the vehicle is displayed. One of displays shows the
neutralizing liquid level in a tank, by default.
Be sure to prime the system with neutralizing liq-
uid as required.
If liquid level in a tank is low, the pilot lamp indi-
cating the low level in after-treatment system on instru-
ment panel is ON
.
The after-treatment system is primed with Ad-
Blue agent only in accord with suggestions of Appen-
dices 2, 3.
Appr. consumption of liquid is 4-8 % of fuel con-
sumption.
Filling neck of tank with neutralizing liquid is
closed by
blue cover
.
Pour the AdBlue liquid through filling neck in the
tank 10-12 cm from the edge.
The filling neck in the tank is equipped with mag-
net valve, which allow the fuel nozzle to switch off au-
tomatically after the maximum Adblue level has been
reached.
Attention!
Do not over-pour AdBlue above the max level!
Any illegal interference or dismantling of any
items of after-treatment system is prohibited.
Do not use the system without AdBlue agent.
Ensure the engine is switched off,
before refill-
ing the Adblue tank.
For practical hints, handling, transport and
storage requirements for Adblue agent see GOST ISO
22241-3-2013
.
If any faults in after-treatment system, corre-
sponding pilot lamp
in instrument panel comes ON.
To reveal and eliminate troubles in the aftertreatment
system
–
see section 7 «
Possible faults in vehicle systems
and units. Self-help
».
Attention!
Any additives to AdBlue agent are prohibited.
Do not dissolve the AdBlue agent with tap water,
otherwise the after-treatment system will be failed.
Be sure to provide the agent purity. Pollutions in
agent cause increase of emissions and after-treatment
system failure.
Avoid liquid getting into eyes. If any, rinse with
pure water immediately.
